Middle School High Ability Information Meeting
Middle School Middle School High Ability Services Information Meeting for all middle school students and their families will be on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 6:30-7:30 pm at Batchelor Middle School. Anyone who would like to hear more about middle school high ability identification and services is welcome to attend.
MCCSC Middle School High Ability Identification & Application Process
Two ways to be identified, 1.) a student’s 6th grade InView and NWEA test scores may qualify them for the advanced Language Arts instruction or the ALPS program. If so, the student will receive an invitation letter via the US Mail on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, with this information. 2.) all other middle school students may choose to apply for these middle school high ability service options.
Applications for middle school high ability services are due on or before Friday, February 9, 2024.
Following are the required application materials:
Family provides: parent referral (attached and linked here) and a student selected writing sample.
The school will provide the rest of the application materials.
You may send application documents electronically to Adie Smith (msmith@mccsc.edu), by fax (812-330-7813), or drop them off/mail them to the High Ability Office at the MCCSC Administration Building located at 315 E North Drive Bloomington, 47401.
